The Week of Celebration will take place during January 2023. ALL undergraduate/graduate/professional UNC students are eligble to apply.
Being part of this committee requires dedication and a passion for continuing the recognition of the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on Carolina’s campus. Serving on the committee will require mandatory attendance at bi-weekly meetings. You may miss up to one meeting. Any additional absences will result in removal from the committee.
Meetings will be hybrid. The first meeting will be held in-person on September 21, 2022 from 4:00PM-6:00PM. The term for serving on this committee will last from September 2022 – February 2023. You will also be expected to be part of the Week of Celebration debrief in February 2023.
This is a volunteer opportunity. The deadline to apply is September 14, 2022. Up to 15 people will be selected to serve for this effort. Those selected to serve will receive notification via email on September 16th.
