The Campus and Community Advisory Committee met on November 17, 2020. You can view a recording of the meeting on YouTube. We heard from Drs. Amir Barzin and Ian Buchanan regarding the University’s new surveillance testing program for the spring semester, which was released in today’s campus message from Chancellor Guskiewicz. We also finalized and formalized our recommendations for Community Standards—which we argue to rename “Pandemic Standards”—and submitted them to Chancellor Guskiewicz and Provost Blouin. You can read the full set of recommendations here.

The committee next meets on Tuesday, November 24 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. This is expected to be our final meeting of the semester and will include a debrief discussion with Chancellor Guskiewicz. Vice Chancellor Joel Curran will also be present to discuss communications strategies for the spring semester. The meeting will be streamed live on YouTube at this link. In addition, the co-chairs will take questions from the Carolina community. If you are interested in participating in the Q&A, you may attend via Zoom at this link.
